讲座内容:

Traditionally, product and service development decisions have been made by expert staff far from end-users. This approach is challenging as it is difficult to describe a concept-level product to customers. The major drawback associated to the current process is that the usability issues and fulfilment of customer needs can be addressed only at the late phases of the R&D process, often after first physical prototype is build. This is expensive, time-consuming and often does not fully serve customer needs.

User/customer needs must be better addressed in future products and services. This problem can be solved by developing co-creation, real-time, simulator-driven processes for product development. This vision can be accomplished, in practice, by developing a toolset that will allow the multiple stakeholders to access machine research and development through virtual worksites providing fully configurable, real-time, virtual prototyping. According to the vision, digital tools are no longer a tool set of product development team but used a bridge between product development and customers. This allows product development team to introduce new concepts to customers early phase R&D process, much before first physical prototype is build. Customers can also modify models according to their needs and this way express needs in a clear technical manner.

 

主讲人简介:

Aki Mikkola,现任芬兰拉普兰塔理工大学教授,SIM 研究中心主任(https://www.lut.fi/web/en/research/platforms/sim),博士生导师。1997年毕业于芬兰拉普兰塔理工大学 (Lappenranta University of Technology) ,获得机械工程博士学位。Mikkola教授近期主要研究方向为虚拟设计,实时仿真和车辆系统动力学。已发表高水平SCI论文两百余篇,现任多个国际杂志和会议的编委和技术委员会委员。
